Microsoft's AI-powered Bing Chat is now available to users of Google Chrome on Windows, macOS, and Linux computers.

Microsoft is expanding the availability of its Bing Chat and Bing Chat Enterprise support to Google Chrome users. Initially accessible only through Microsoft's Edge browser, this feature has now been extended to Chrome on Windows, macOS, and Linux. This development was recently announced by Microsoft through a blog post. The company plans to further expand this support to other desktop and mobile browsers in the near future. Notably, Microsoft had been testing this feature on Google Chrome last month.

According to the blog post, Bing Chat support is now available for Chrome on desktop computers. This means users of Chrome on Windows, macOS, and Linux can now access Bing Chat provided they have Chrome installed. With this move, Microsoft is making this feature accessible to a wider user base, considering that Chrome holds a significant share of the browser market.

Furthermore, Microsoft has also extended the support for Bing Chat Enterprise. This support now covers both the Edge browser on smartphones and the desktop version of Google Chrome. Users who have Bing Chat Enterprise enabled can utilize Microsoft Edge on their smartphones, signing in with their work accounts to access this feature as outlined in the blog post.

In addition, the company has unveiled new Bing Search templates designed for specific subjects, leveraging generative AI content. These templates aim to mitigate content duplication and facilitate users in finding answers to their inquiries more seamlessly. Alongside these advancements, the integration of Bing Chat has been extended to SwiftKey, allowing users to access the AI tool up to 30 times daily without requiring a sign-in.

Notably, in the previous month, Microsoft was observed testing Bing AI chatbot support for Chrome and Safari, albeit with certain limitations. Caitlin Roulston, Microsoft's Director of Communications, had mentioned, "We are extending access to Bing Chat in Safari and Chrome to select users as part of our testing on other browsers." However, the formal announcement of Bing Chat's availability on Apple's Safari browser is yet to be made by the company.
