Actor and director George Clooney is reuniting with his Casamigos co-founders, Mike Meldman and Rande Gerber, to launch a new nonalcoholic beer called Crazy Mountain.

According to a release, Crazy Mountain is a 65-calorie, alcohol-free beer set to roll out in select markets in 2026, available in classic lager and lime varieties. As reported by PR Newswire, the brand aims to position itself as a beer for consumers who want to live healthier without giving up the taste and ritual of drinking a cold one.

Meldman stated, "We've always built brands around friendship and lifestyle. Crazy Mountain belongs at the barbecue, on the boat, during a round of golf, or a run on a trail - it fits every occasion."

Brand Differentiation

Crazy Mountain differentiates itself from other nonalcoholic beers through its brewing process, which preserves the integrity of the flavor from start to finish.

Clooney said in a statement, "We love beer, we just don't always want the effects that come with it."

Market Context

Nonalcoholic beer, wine, and spirits have become increasingly popular, with the category reaching $925 million in sales for the year ending August 2025, growing 22% over the previous year, according to NIQ.

Celebrity-backed brands, including Tom Holland's Bero and Charlie Sheen and John Mulaney's recent entrants, have also entered the nonalcoholic beer market, positioning their products as alternatives that taste equivalent to traditional beers but without the hangover.
